Just thought I'd try to get some feedback. I have been reading some of your posts on here, and I am beginning to think I am crazy... I've check LSN and the thing on LSAC.. Still not convinced.

LSAT: 149
UGPA: 3.1

Applied to:

Charleston
Samford
Louisville
Memphis
Stetson
South Carolina
Mercer

What do you think my chances are? I am a single parent, but that's about all I have to go on, as far as soft factors. Hopefully my PS will be able to explain away a few things...

if it's something you really want to do...go for it! this is one of the most pretentious groups of people you will find online. so take what they say fwiw ("what? you don't have a 170? you should just become a janitor!") you should try to raise your LSAT, though. if you really want to be a lawyer, it's worth a shot. but if you aren't sure, then i would hold off and really think about it. it's a HUGE investment. you have to be certain it's what you want. good luck!

just hearing "whitefish bay" makes me think of that gordon lightfoot song.

i got into depaul's full time a couple days ago, and am torn over whether i want to go there or marquette. i'll probably wind up waiting until the last minute to decide (if i get into marquette...163/sub 2.5 UGPA...so it's iffy). but i love milwaukee, so i have no idea what i want to do. i just hate waiting to hear back from them. depaul got back to me in less than 3 weeks (from application date, not completion date). i've been complete at marquette for 3 weeks now. what gives?

one thing that marquette has going for it is that they're building the new law building. the renderings look amazing. i also love not having to take the bar in wisconsin (and if i live in milwaukee, then that's even better).

i'm still waiting to hear back from marquette. i have a 163 with a horrible gpa. so i guess i'm kind of up in the air.

i liked marquette quite a bit when i visited. i LOVE milwaukee. the area around marquette isn't great, but it's not horrible either.

Law School Applications / Re: Any advice for my graph?
« on: February 01, 2008, 11:41:21 PM »
Thanks - there is a "next" button at the top, but it's not very clear (you're not the only one who didn't see it).  I'm going to see if I can get more on one page, though.

oh, i saw it. i just want to see some of the schools even lower (down to 100 or so). i like the format of it. i think it's really easy to understand what it's trying to tell the user. i'm not sure about the accuracy (i'm a splitter...so nothing is really all that accurate for me, anyway). if it's accurate, and has more schools, i think it can be a fantastic calculator because of the ease of use.

i think one improvement would be if you could get the schools all the way down through #100. i know many of the people on here are only interested in t14..but there ARE others who are looking at schools lower in the top 100.

Law School Applications / Re: How does this sound for withdrawing?
« on: January 29, 2008, 07:18:53 PM »
They often ask you on the paper form mailed with admissions packages what other school you will be attending if you do not go to their school. So why is it rude to give them that information if you withdraw before getting accepted?

Is there a setting where it can just not show xman's posts or something? He never says anything correct or important. He is a boring flame.

oh cmon! he's not that boring. if he actually said something intelligent (or humble), he'd be boring. but his stupidity is amusing.
