Incoming 1Ls / Re: undergrad to same law school -- is it easier?

There might have been a more friendly way to make this point but I'm not sure.

This site is a cesspool of misinformation. Dear 99% of posters: Yes, you're smarter than the average bear. You're going to middle of the road law school, and your parents should be proud. No, your placement in law school and future career as a lawyer doesn't mean that you should be allowed to pass you "expert" (i.e. uninformed) opinion off as substantiated fact.

you're a cesspool of misinformation. i just felt like saying that. acting like a d!ck will get you nowhere.

« on: March 29, 2008, 11:25:39 PM » looks like that's where i'm going. who'll be joining me in chicago?

I disagree-- I think hot women would be more likely to go to T1 schools.

Let's assume that intelligence is evenly distributed among every category of girl from "Extremely hot" down to "extremely ugly."

I think it is fair to say that intelligent people pick up on more norms like working out, eating healthy, and taking care of our looks. That is because we understand that looking good augments our chances at success in life and makes the quality of our life higher.

Therefore, although intelligent people have genetically equal good-looks generally, they will have better looking people comparatively by virtue of their striving to look as good as possible.

Someone should really do a thesis to answer this question scientifically...

uhhh..."we?" don't you mean "they?"

slam! good one.

I don't get why but People seem to be able to sort out Michigan vs MSU. but for some reason the UPenn vs Penn State things still confuses the "best and brightest."

im confused.  doesn't upenn = penn state?

>brain explodes<

UPenn=quakers, ivy league, private, philadelphia
Penn State=nittany lions, Big(11)Ten, public, university park

i really don't get how that can be mixed up.

We should get a bunch of pictures off of the schools' facebook and rank the schools based on the girls/guys's level of attractiveness.

Then we can start a website where we all vote.

that sounds kind of creepy.

those rankings are fake. there is a certain lansing, MI school that isn't in the top 16.

i visited SLU and liked it. however, i haven't heard much about how the degree travels. since i don't want to live in STL, i'd be interested in hearing how the degree does in chicago.

one thing that SLU does have is that you can get some awesome italian food on "the hill" in STL. just sayin...

I got the email too, but they put my real name  :)

you must be special in the eyes of those at umn.

i'm not going to apply anyway because it's so late in the cycle, but that email left a sour taste in my mouth.  >:(

i was wondering the same thing. the email they sent kind of bugged me because it was addressed to the wrong person. To make matters worse, it's not even a common name. Nor is it anywhere near my name in the alphabet.

"Dear Noele Aabye De Hernandez,"

Yeah, that's not me.  ???
