Possible? Not worried about dollars, I've got straight B+'s and am doing pretty well so far. Competed in Mock Trial 1L competition, and I have pretty great EC's and leadership skills.
I'd really prefer to transfer to GULC because I live about 10 minutes away from there compared to about 60 minutes away from WCL. It's getting unbearably stressful having to schlep out so far, so much time out of my day, having to wait around for shuttles from the metro, or having to walk 35 minutes to Dupont Circle so I can skip being crushed to death on the Green Line going through Gallery Place.

I've got a blog of my experiences as a 1L at American University Washington College of Law up at http://wikilaw.blogspot.com and for those interested in the internship process as well, it covers my legal internship with Wikipedia. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me there through email or comments, and I'd be more than happy to answer them. It can be nice to know that other people are going through the same experiences as you.

If you've been reading 1L and Ivy Briefs, those are both good books, but this will be a more accurate and up to date version of what law school is like right now. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me there through email or comments, and I'd be more than happy to answer them.

Those of you who want to learn more about what law school is like, can read my blog, Wikilaw/May It Please the Court, which tracks my progress through law school, externships, clerking etc. Hopefully it will help you guys make a decision about if you want to go to law school or not.

Taking questions, I've been at American since the summer. Also, I have a law school blog available at http://wikilaw.blogspot.com that has a good bit of information about law school, and what it is like to be in DC.

I'll answer any questions. See also http://wikilaw.blogspot.com for ongoing details of what 1L life is like there, as well as what it is like to live in DC (I know some people have never lived in a major city before, and want to know what DC is like). It'd be nice to know before you blow the money on applying.
