Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / Re: Visited Penn

So Penn says 80% of its students get some kind of financial aid. How "real" is that number? Without getting too nosy (or maybe I am, oh well) have you guys seen any of it? Do you know anybody who has? How difficult is it to get? Thanks!

I get none.

Really simply put, if you don't let him flat out go it alone for a while, he will drag you down with him.

LOL! I told you I was trying to change it to make it more anonymous but I guess I made it stick out more in the process!!!

Yes.  Yes, you did.  And if you were going to let him fall on his face anyway, then why did anonymity even matter?  Presumably you would have told him he is going to fall on his face before he saw this.

Why did your brother change to a sister? Did he go out and get a sex change?

I was in the process of editing it for case he stumbles onto this board. He's not much for forums but who knows these days?.

Ummm...the brother changed to a sister who changed to a cousin?  Starting to seem a bit odd.  Not accusing...yet.

Why is Cornell's campus so awful?  ??? I haven't visited, but I thought it looked better than a lot of others in the booklet...

I visited Cornell when I was looking at UG, and it was stunning.  It pretty much is what college should look like.  And wow to the landscape.

Penn's UG campus is amazing - I'm not sure where the law school is in relation to it though.

The law school is on 34 and Chestnut/Sansom (depending on which door you use) and the UG campus/quad is at 34 and Walnut - about a block away.  It's nice because it's close enough to the main campus to make is accessible and fun but far enough away so that it isn't swarming with undergrads.

I like it.

Gentlemen at my preparatory academy frequently attempted to pass off a series of uncapitalized words separated by commas (without the required connectors, no less) as a "sentence."  It was not a particularly noteworthy occurrence.

you mean... "Guys at my high school used to.........It was no big deal."

Hmmmm.....sounds very Frat Stud, if you catch my drift...  ;)

oohhh, which one?

we here at CLS also have one of Yale's best con law least for the year... ;)

I think Mahler was referring to Prof. Adler (con/admin).  Actually, I don't think that so much as I didn't know and so asked him, but I'm willing to take credit for answering you anyway.

ah, okay.  i was hoping you were sending us morse.   ;D

NO!  He's ours.   ;)  Long tie and all...

ETA as to formatting (I moved my response out of the quotes).

... please be kind enough to return the favor.

At least have the heart to shoot me a message that their writing sucks and they should give up now before wasting $500 on applications.

Just saying.

Next year, in law school, you all will learn that this is called a contract  ;)

Don't breach contracts.  It's bad.  And then I will have to read more cases.  And that, too, is bad.
