I've found that it really depends on whom you speak with/email as to your response time, and this has been the case for every school. Karla Vargas, the director of financial aide, got back to me literally within 10 minutes (she must have been at her desk, of course), while one time I left a voicemail for someone else, and didn't get a call back for almost a week.
All that said, I did get a nice email confirming that they received my deposit and saved me a seat. That saved me a phone call, at least.
