Law School Admissions / Re: Is Anyone Else Giving Up on NU?
« on: December 01, 2007, 01:39:56 PM »
Why is it that people who are still in undergrad think they have more experience in school than people who've already graduated?

Students straight out of undergrad have much to add to the law school experience.  But by any reasonable standard, what they have to add is by definition less diverse and less rounded than what older students have to add.  Making specious arguments about the ability to devote oneself to studies because of a lack of outside commitments is just bizarre.

I've missed out on the TS calls two straight rounds despite being complete, so my guess is I'm not getting one.

Neverborn - where are you located?  (I'm about three hours away from Ann Arbor, so I just want to know if I should look today or wait for tomorrow.)

According to my status checker.

It's my number one choice by far, so here's a wing and a prayer...

Ohio State letters went out at the beginning of the month - I think I got mine around November 5th.

I applied on 10/16 - has anyone who applied on or after that date gotten an e-mail/call?

Michigan is by far my top choice right now.

I'm a nontraditional applicant (5+ years WE by the time I go to law school) and was wondering what the environment was like for folks like me?

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Penn 2L taking q's

I went to undergrad near Penn, and didn't like the personality or aura of the campus, mainly because I felt like everyone there was constantly judging me for not going to Penn, even if I showed up riding the twin shoulders of the Pope and Gandhi handing out free hundred dollar bills with the secret to cold fusion taped to them.

Can a real Penn student convince me that I was wrong?
