With the exception of PBJ and a few other egregious exceptions, I would agree with BearlyLegal.  This is the most mature discussion forum I've encountered.

I'd be far more worried at a board like than I would here, unless we're going to get dinged for half-informed prognosticating on the import of a 3.4 at Boalt.

Law School Applications / Re: Considering re-taking LSAT in February...

The issue is whether or not the schools will even be able to take the LSAT into consideration.  If financial aid decisions go out in March, a February LSAT may have no impact whatsoever.  A higher score will be great, but not if it's too lat e to impact decisions.

My basic philosophy - if you actually want to go there, do the extra work.  I found it helped me refine my rationale for going to law school in the first place.

It seems like there had to have been something else going on with him - his numbers alone should have resulted in a few more acceptances with a well-written PS and timely application.

If a school wanted that desperately to know to which other schools you're applying, couldn't they figure it out by calling around?  Or calling you up and asking you point blank?

Adcomm:  "Hey, this is X Xerson from X University.  Where else are you applying?"

Me: "I'd prefer not to say."

Adcomm: "It's necessary for admission."

Me: "Then why didn't you ask for it on the application?"

Adcomm: "Because."

Me: "Because why?"

Adcomm: "Because your pillow smells of saffron."

Me: "What?"

Adcomm: "I love the way you lather in the morning."

Me: " What?"

Adcomm: "Join me here.  Please.  You fill the hole in my soul.  Tell me where you applied.  I need to know."

...At least, that's the way I picture the creepy conversation going.  Others may differ.

I was just under the impression everyone here together looked like a Benneton ad.

Does the administration stay as responsive when you're actually a student there?

I'll do Wash U. for Confused.
