That depends on your definition of holiday.  It's not a statuatory one to be sure, but I, like most dictionaries, define holiday as a day when workers don't have to work.

You see, I hadn't seen the order that was later posted that I responded to that clarified the whole thing.

But thanks!

Although the government does close on Christmas Eve if it's a Monday or Friday.

That's not really relevant here, though.  I'm just happy 'cause I get that day off.

Silly government.

The 24th isn't a federal holiday - Christmas Eve is never a federal holiday.

I heard they're both in for disappointing basketball seasons.  Other than that, nothing.

81 schools.

At $12 per school in LSAC fees, plus, say, a charitable average of $45 per app, that's...$4617.

That's more than four full-length LSAT prep classes.  More than half a year's tuition at some state schools.  At the median American salary, nearly a month and a half of full-time work.

I can't understand it at all.

I was thinking about this - how much do you think the "I'll apply just to see if I get in" factor adds to Yale's selectivity?

Take it again.  In the words of Michael Scott, it's a win-win-win.
