Law School Admissions / Anyone applying to Yale or Harvard as a joke?
« on: October 31, 2007, 08:31:22 AM »
I'm considering sending in an application with either a videotaped personal statement, or a personal statement written in the form of a trial.  I'll also attempt to violate as many "application never do's" as possible.

Looks like the on campus interviews are all booked up.  Should I wait around for more to open or is it ok for me to book one in my location (St Louis)?

Right now, I'm doing the first half of my statement as a narrative showing an example of situations I encounter in my career that have motivated me to go to law school, then for the next half I do more of a non-narrative explanation of my motivation to go.  Is there anything flawed with this format?

Just letting off some personal statement stress.

Hey dudes.  So, I've got my personal statement: 2 page narrative that tells a story from my life that makes non-obvious comments about myself and my goals which may persuade someone reading it to think I should get admitted to law school.  It is by no means a "here is why I want to go to law school" or "why i want to go to YOUR law school" or "here are my experiences that make me want to/ deserve to go to law school."  So what schools do you all know of that i'm going to need to fashion a new one for?
