EVERY HOMO DANCE NOW!

You remind me of that guy from Platoon... what's his name... Barnes, I think... the guy who hated Elias for no reason.

Yeah, that guy. Oh, and do you remember how it made everyone happy when he died? I think that was because no one liked him.

EDIT: Social Justice, I know you think hatred is generally bad, but what about hating haters? Is that permissible?

Hating haters is alright, except that is what they go for.  I feel sorry for the 'judge'.  What a sorry soul.  If I was Buddhist I would be praying for him.  His vapid attempts to sully good threads indicates that his last marble has already rolled out of his ear and into the gutter. He can't even get his references right in the context.  Every homo dance now  ???  Dude, you are the only weak attempt at flame in the thread.  At least cut and paste something that makes a little sense.  Try making it semi-entertaining if you are capable, and keep it in the nonsense threads.

Aren't you black?  That clears up why my subtle literary devices go unrecognized: you have to be literate to catch them.

It's not as easy as you think.

You start out with ZERO clients.  ZERO experience.  ZERO officespace.  ZERO money to buy officespace.

...and you have nothing clients wants.

It's much easier to fail than you people seem to realize.  LSD paints a very rosy picture, but boards with actual lawyers on tell a much different story.

Here: HELL YES YOU SHOULD TAKE ON DEBT TO GO TO LOYOLA!

Boards with Lawyers: Don't go to law school.  Don't even think about going to a non t14 school.

I'd say  do it every day.  Learn some mental toughness.

Set realistic goals.

He was led to think that he would be able to get NYC BIGLAW.  He ended up not even able to get midlaw.

He was a huge networker and member of two journals.  Nepotism doesn't help nearly as much as people think.  With his school/grades, he couldn't even get an interview with 95% of firms (which is a shame because he has one of those great interviewee charming personalities).

As for why he didn't get better grades: he finished above the median.

If your friend is an amazing networker, and has a winning social personality, why did he decide against starting his own solo practice?

ummm, despite what the TTTulane literature might say, it's incredibly hard to get clients as a 24 year old newly minted TTT grad in a city with nearly 1mm lawyers.

I'm just giving good advice.  I had a friend who was TTTpwned.

Would you explain this to us, please?

I would.  I'm not one of those ivory tower HYS students.  I'm a man of the people.  I don't look down my nose.

He went to a TTT, (middling t1 school), earned grades just above the median and couldn't get any legal work in NYC.  He ended up temping for 25 dollars an hour and living in 10x20 studio apartment until he moved back with his parents and started doing non-legal work for his dad's company.

Nice kid.  Sad story.  I just hate what the toilets do to kids.

If I make Top 30% at any T1 school, my biglaw position is already secured - a benefit of being far more sociable, and less of a feminine hygiene product than you.

The first part is just wrong.  The second is unintelligible
