I'm in Georgia and my hold letter did give the option for an interview- my guess is that the date of the letters has something to do with it. I was in the first round of holds, so perhaps that is the reason.

I'm still debating about whether to go to Columbia or not. We'd be coming from out of state (and don't know anyone in NYC) and wouldn't be eligible for the subsidized housing offered by the school (because we have 3 pets that we can't leave behind). Does anyone have any general advice on off-campus housing? Do most landlords have income requirements, even for students? About what percentage of apartments allow pets? How long will it take to find a place and where would be our best bet?
Kami- you and I are in a very similar position! I would love any info if you've found any. This is one hesitancy I have with CLS, I feel comfortable with finding off-campus housing at other schools, but not really with CLS. Any help?

You have to be careful in Athens about living in completely undergrad apartments. No offence if any of you all are undergrads here now, but as a grad student at UGA, I chose to look specifically for a place geared toward the young professional. I live in a gated apartment complex that is slightly more expensive, but it is also a more mature croud- very quiet, no parties, etc. I am glad I paid more, but am happy where I am!
We came to Athens in May to find an apt. and there were a couple of complexes that were full by then.
Are you guys really?? That's so much fun! I want to date taterstol too
I'm dating Taterstol.
