Also in at Tulane. Status checker did change. Must have happened about 10 minutes after I checked today.

Why haven't you guys sent out any decisions? Last year you sent them out in mid-november. The Ad comms know that, right? It's very frustrating.

Also, how's the placement on the coasts, and how has the economy effected the 2L interviews?

haha i'm on the same page... my response is "the great flood and noah's arc really occurred"

Waitlisted at Notre Dame today. Huzzah for (possibly) 9 more months of waiting for a decision. Any advice on what to do next?

Congrats on the WL - I'll be over here eyeballing my rejection and fuming.

In all seriousness, I wonder whether a situation like yours would necessitate a letter of continued interest or not.  I also wonder whether it would be required in my own case with Virginia.

I still don't understand how you ended up getting a direct reject from ND. Even with your post-submission editing I still would have bet that they would have WL'd you at worst.

It COULD be these schools hoping for a numbers spike due to more applicants. If they do that, the numbers that they will be able to increase would more be GPA because the LSATS are difficult to change. They will get more 170s, which won't really help their numbers, but they can raise the backend of the GPA with all these business people.  So then splitters like me and TC get screwed. That would also explain my rejection to Georgetown (I'm the only 170+ rejected anywhere if you didn't know!) Or perhaps TC and I just completely suck at applications.

Tc, wtf man. You got a refreshing program? I had you on views earlier today, but now you got me by 300, and I was the one who had somethign happen to me today.

Actually, yes I do.  I keep my firefox on autorefresh because I browse news sites a lot that have top links change(fark, reddit, digg) so I like it to be updated when I sit down.

As a result, I also often have multiple tabs of LSN open, and often my own, hence the sizable number.  4000+ people can't care about my profile when it is somewhat sparse. And my computer stays on all day.

CHEATER!  ;)

To make up for it, I left bloom's window open all night.

I noticed that. My ego has boosted from my fake popularity gain, and I will forever be in your gratitude. Also, i feel my willingness to defacate on your behalf also contributed to you doing that.

I'm sorry Bloomie :(

Eh. I didn't really want to go there (who doesn't say that after a rejection, though), but still stings. I thought I was waitlistable for sure.

I would have wagered a waitlist was more likely than a reject.  Sorry about the reject though, but you still got three acceptances to every one reject - if you keep that ratio up you'll be golden.

Yeah, I thought the waitlist was likely as well. And thanks for being an optimist about it.

You better watch out though. My high reject LSAT will have my passing you in the LSN USER views race. I think I'll be in the top 25 by the end of the day. Silver lining?

Oh no worries - you may usurp me now, but I will undoubtedly return to the top with a bizarre reject - perhaps Alabama or Tulane - along with the standard rejections from Columbia, &c.

If you get rejected by Alabama or Tulane, here's what will happen: I will fly back to the states, steal a car, and drive to New Orleans/Tuscaloosa. Once there, I will walk around campus until I locate the Law School Admissions offices, then storm in the front door. I will ignore the secretaries/associate deans, and I will barge into the Dean of Admissions offices. Regardless of whether there is someone in the office or not, I will climb onto the desk, pull down my pants, and defecate on the desk. Afterwards, I will climb down, pull up my pants, turn to whoever may be watching and say "That was for tcwhat". Then i'll head on out and catch a plane back here.

Also, thanks for the condolences.
