I'm feeling for you, TC. Remember, this could all be worth it if G town gives you a call come april.
Dual acceptances today...
Call this morning from UVA, then an email from Northwestern this afternoon!
Bloom, you're doing very well! Let me know if you plan to go to the Illinois ASD.
Congrats to everybody. Good to see some of us are getting great acceptances.
Also, for me, cardozo with $25k a year and IU-B with $15K a year.
Congrats, you globe trotting vagabond, and welcome back!
No, wait I know what it means. Northwestern has decided that in light of THIS ECONOMY, they can no longer afford to be in the legal education business. They will not accept anyone this year, and plan to begin selling off buildings right after they send everyone home. [END SARCASM]
NO ONE has gotten an acceptence yet (as far as I can tell) that says nothing about whether you will be or not.
If you want to get into their heads, they probably decided to wait until they had a good number of applications so they could compare them and try to build a CLASS. Also, I would guess, given NW's reputation for business focus and liking for people with work experience that in the current economic environment they have an even greater increase in applicants this year than other schools. Many of whom may have MBAs from Kellogg School of business, which is after all, right next door.
In at Wash & Lee, also got money at Tulane (60K) and Pitt (36K). At this rate, my cycle will be over in about a week. The Pitt money throws them out of the mix, though, because in state tuition at Pitt is 23K/year, (in state tuition in PA is one of the highest in the country), and with the scholarship I would still pay about 33K overall. At Ohio state, I can pay 50K overall without a scholarship (which i'm hoping to get, btw) and have the same placement in my region of Pennsylvania, for the most part, as well as a much better regional reach. I really like Pitt, so it kinda sucks.
Damn bloom. Your cycle is giving me cycle-envy.
Congrats on the cash, Bloom.
Are you going to wait and see what you get from OSU and possibly negotiate with Pitt?
