To all my fellow bruhs out there, I was out yesterday but Happy Belated Founder's Day.

If you haven't already be sure to take at least a minute to pay our respects to the 10 men who founded this institution of Kappa Alpha Psi based on "high ideals and the purpose of achievement, seeking to raise the sights of black youths and stimulate them to accomplishments higher than might otherwise be realized or even imagined."

And rededicate ourselves to uphold these ideals and continue to uplift one another to achieve in every field of human endeavor.

I say Yo!

Happy Founders Day Nupe

Also apply to a lot more safeties. :(

Well, OP said he already got into some pretty decent schools, right?  So no worries?

Yeah, but I also don't want to be penalized by the intellectually lazy process of LSAC

LSAC includes all grades, even those F's that were replaced through forgiveness, when calculating your GPA.  This is probably the source of the difference.

@#!*, so i guess I should revise my addendum to reflect that.

Funny thing is this is my first time checking since I submitted apps in october so i have been under the impression i was in good shape. as matter of fact, i have even managed to slide into a couple of decent schools.

I took graduate coursework from another school and received str8 A's. I failed a couple classes, but I took them over and received a grade of a C or better which through the forgiveness policy would have replaced my F

I just went to LSAC to see if my GPA had been calculated and it has. The problem is my cumulative GPA is a 2.9 and they calculated it as a 2.3. What the #@$%? Any ideas on what I can do

Unfair?  All of the Yale, Harvard, Michigan, etc. grads I have spoken to who have been out of school for a significant number of years say that there is no way they would be admitted today.  Things change.

:( no KIDDING.

I think the 50 percentile for harvard back in the day was 164. Correct me if i am wrong. And when I say back in the day I mean like 10 years ago
