Any thoughts on who McCain might choose as a running mate?

I know it's boring, but I like plain Hershey's milk chocolate bars.  Yumm.

Current Law Students / Re: Temple vs. Brooklyn
« on: May 20, 2008, 08:09:45 AM »
I need to make a decision by Wednesday!  I got scholarships at both!  I like NYC alot but I'm really interest in INTERNATIONAL LAW

I was ultimately between those same two but got way more money at Temple so I went with that.  (As a native NYer, the temptation to stay in NYC was great, but I could not justify the higher tuition.)

Look at what is required to keep each scholarship, and think about where you want to work after graduation.  Those are the two big factors between those two schools, IMO.

Current Law Students / Re: What is the most difficult 1L subject ??
« on: May 20, 2008, 08:07:39 AM »
As someone who is going to be a 1L in the fall , I would like to know from people who have already been or are currently 1Ls , which subject they found to be the most challenging and why ? Was there any particular aspect of the course that made it difficult ?

I'm a 0L, but a friend of mine is a 2L at BU.  He said that throughout the semester he thought Torts was the easiest and then it ended up being his worst grade.  He says Property was his hardest.

Law School Admissions / Re: Do you have a full-ride scholarship?

I will be attending Temple with a full ride (called a Beasley Scholarship.)

I was offered a full ride at the University of Iowa  (Law Opportunity Fellowship) but (for me) Temple was a better option.

Interesting article in the Philly Inquirer today about your scholarship's namesake.

Wow!  What a mess!

That's really frustrating, but unfortunately not so uncommon.  I had a similar experience.  A school gave me a small scholarship, but when they sent the letter it was for much more.  I called to confirm before I signed off on it and they told me it was an error.  It definitely tainted my impression of the school.

Nah, the cooked fruit did it for me.

Although Cirque du Soleil is kind of boring.

I actually find it terrifying.  Creeply clown-creatures.  Ugh.   :(

Did anyone ever read this?  The meme seems to get passed along somewhere, yet I haven't read much discussion about it.

Belated thanks for posting this, it's a great article.  :)
