I was also really impressed with it...

Mercer jumped up to #1 on my most likely pick - their counselor really impressed me.
Ohio State surprised me - it wasn't even on my list, but now it's #2.
Even U of Louisville's admissions counselor couldn't get excited about that school - that's a problem in my mind.
Tulane was pretty much what I expected - it didn't really change my opinion of it.
Temple's people were nice.
The Rutgers people were hard to pin down....I think I liked them?  I'm not sure.
Case Western also really impressed me - their people obviously really like their schools - they were very engaging and very interested in the students that came to visit them.

The lectures were useless, IMHO.

Indeed - I think it's been pretty successful thusfar - we've gotten a lot of good input on the personal statements, but we could certainly use more!

General Off-Topic Board / Re: How did you pay for undergrad?

I chose "Family paid for all of it", but luckily, I got a very generous scholarship package from my undergrad and only ended up paying 2k per year.

Forum posted and opened!  That's fine for both of you, as long as you don't mind commenting on the rest of our stuff now!   ;D

I looked over some previous threads....It said that previous forums were business casual and up, and that suits weren't uncommon.  I'm probably going to take a messenger bag, and if it looks like nobody else is wearing a suit, I'll put my jacket in it.  Not the greatest for it, but still.  Hope to see you all there!  Wanna do lunch or something?

Sure thing...I'll get started on making a forum for it...if anyone else is interested, you can send me a PM or reply!  We'll definitely take more people!

I'd also recommend resume writing and, if you haven't done it yet, refining the list of schools you want to apply to.

Choosing the Right Law School / Temple's location?
« on: June 18, 2008, 05:55:47 AM »
Haldo,
I had a very quick question for those of you who may have visited Temple - how is it's location?  I've heard from someone that I know that it is in a really bad part of town...but he also said that Drexel was a better school than UPenn.  ::)  Anyway, is it really that bad, or do you folks feel he's exaggerating?

I think Marquette and Michigan could be doable - I'll take any fee waivers I can get, lol.  As for the dress code thing, my NORMAL response would be "Oh, let me go ask on LSD - I'm sure that someone on there has been to one of these."

Blast it all.
