Hi, all...first time poster, so if there's a problem with this post, my apologies. At any rate, my current top two law schools are Washington and Lee and Wake Forest. I'm having a great deal of trouble deciding which of the two I should look at more closely - based on the numbers I've seen, they are quite comparable. To give everyone an idea of what I'm looking at, I am planning on getting involved in a smaller firm (Less than 15 attorneys), and doing general practice in a small town. I come from a VERY small town originally, but I think that I would be comfortable either in Winston-Salem or Lexington. I am planning on practicing in one of four states: WV, VA, NC or TN. Also, I would like the school to be well enough off that the name would probably help if I were to, after practicing for a while, decide to go for a judgeship or teaching position (if all were to go well). Another factor is going to be scholarships...I'm going to need a pretty significant one to be able to afford law school. My GPA is 3.85 and my LSAT should be back today, but based on my practice tests, I can guess that it will be between 165 and 170, leaning more towards the 170 side. Any thoughts? Any other law schools that I should look at?
