Yeah.  After my failure with ADD meds, I saw a specialist and went on a strict no gluten, no refined sugar diet.  And started walking/running 5 miles a day.  I had never taken off four kids worth of baby weight, and so am now back to where I should be.  And it's not going back on.  My school better have a 24 hour gym.

Yeah, only if you have them pretty close together, like I did.  And if you're nursing, you can never get the last 10 off until your kid weans.  Usually, I had two nurslings at a time, so it definitely became cumulative.  Plus, for a couple of years, when my autistic sons were young, I became a lot more sedentary.  And stress doesn't help.  Anyway, since my mom and grandfather both died of diabetes (like many Indians do,) I knew I had to do something, and dealing with the ADD gave me an incentive.

one of the students leading our tour at boalt's asd said she gained 30 pounds her 1L year from all the delicious crap furnished at all those firm-hosted luncheons.

i agree that a backpack is way preferable to a bag if you're going to be carrying books along with your laptop, but are there cute backpacks for this purpose?  i haven't seen any.. i don't really want to look like i'm going to go out into nature all the time.

i also have it on good authority that boalt graduates get anything and everything they want upon graduation.  it's like a genie lamp that puts no upper limit on your wishes.  they don't advertise this in their materials or report it to usnews, but it's true.
