Cornell with 35K/year in scholarship or Stanford?
hmmm, that's tough...Stanford is T3, but 105k less debt from a T14 is tempting too. guess it depends on your goals. if you're goin for the really prestigious stuff, i'd say stanford. if you just want to make a good living in biglaw or anywhere else then cornell
Anyone know the chances of getting biglaw from Cornell? I don't want to have blah career choices simply because I chose the wrong school? I may want academia, in which case I'll go Stanford. If it's just big law, I'm unsure (I'm sure at S I could have a nice job 1L summer, closing the gap a little. But is it enough?)

Yeah, I also got the deferral. I never had the PCEM. My status check still says "Under Review", but the date changed to today.
I'm not thrilled, but it's better than the flat rejection I had been bracing myself for...
stats?
175+/3.7+ (and a lower first LSAT) - I went complete in November
Weird. I assumed you have CCN on down at least.

Just got my deferral/hold from Harvard, which was expected. What's the proper etiquette now... can I tell them about Stanford and how I appreciate Harvard's size/location/focus more than Stanford's or is it ridiculous to even bring up that their competitor let me in? I think I might like Stanford a little bit more than Harvard, but I'm an east coast guy, so H gets the edge overall, if I had a choice between them.

Anyone choose Columbia over HYS? Columbia was always my first choice, but I unexpectedly got into Stanford, and am having the toughest time making the decision now. Any insights? Thanks!

Did you see in the letter, it said something like they are typically no less than half tuition? That's where the 60K minimum figure comes from.

Did everyone just get a personalized email from Dean Kramer? SLS is officially #1 in my heart. So this is love...
Nope, no love from the dean. but i'm just feeling extremely lucky to have gotten in.
