Law School Applications / GPA rounding« on: July 19, 2007, 04:26:09 PM »
So I did a rough calculation to find out my LSAC GPA, and it changes slightly when you assume an A- is a 3.67. If my GPA is like a 3.907xxxxx calculated out, are they going to round to a 3.91, or do they round down to 3.9? I know it's petty, but I can use all the help I can get. Thanks.

Let's play a game. What band of LSAT scores go with what band of GPAs in order to be NOT considered a splitter?
Here's my guess: 3.75+ and 167+ 3.5-3.75 163-167 3.25-3.5 160-163 3.0-3.25 152 (average score)-160 33

So there were some changes to the June 2007 LSAT. I think we're all hoping that with the changes, LSAC can equalize our test scores to previous ones, or, failing that, be a little more lenient with us.
But, what if in an evil plot, they decided to be harsher with our scores, so that we HAVE to retake in Sept and the get another $128 out of us. Hey, it would be away to make another million dollars or so. Maybe I'm just paranoid. I don't think we're getting scores today. 35

Section 1 of Preptest 44 is critical reading. I did worse than normal on this section (-4). My main problem was the first passage. I understand why I got #7 wrong, but I can't see why number 6 is A. The question is "According to the passage, which one of the following is true of CAW Legal Services Plan members?" A (the purported correct answer) is "[Members] can enjoy benefits beyond the use of the services of the plan's staff lawyers." Where are any other benefits mentioned?
I picked D, which says "[Members] must pay a fee above the cost of membership for the services of an outside lawyer." I think i see why it's wrong, but I don't see why A is right. Help? Thanks. |
