Missed a call from Penn last night and the guy left a voicemail ominously saying he wanted to "talk about my application" and I should call him back the next day. When I called back this morning, he said i got into UPenn!
Then I went to the post office, and I had an acceptance from NYU, dated 12/14! So exciting!

So I just got off the phone with an HR representative telling me I have a pretty awesome/prestigious/selective/fascinating job. I'm pretty excited. I know I can take the job and defer law school for a couple years because this will be GREAT experience, but I was wondering if you guys think I should tell law schools about the offer because:
1) I think it will impress them (it's another accomplishment/soft factor for my resume. Can job OFFERS be soft factors/)
2) I'm supposed to tell the company by the end of December what I'm doing. I won't have all my decisions by then.

So I got the complete e-mail at Harvard today, but no call e-mail. So it looks like I'm not even being considered for a waitlist since you need the call to get accepted or waitlisted.
Today is the deadline for Columbia ED. They said I can fax the form over. It's my 1st choice. Only wouldn't go there if I got Harvard, and even then I'd have to think.

Hey guys. Schools that don't admit until the new year, do they ask for updated transcripts? I'm specifically wondering about schools like Columbia, Chicago and UVA, that seem to admit a lot of kids in January. Thanks!

I'm applying by paper to Cornell at the suggestion of the admission office (so they can more easily accept my fee waiver). I'm printing off the LSDAS application to send in. My first thought was to staple it all together so nothing gets lost, but I could see how staples would be annoying when making copies. Thoughts?

I applied to Michigan (and NYU, for that matter) a few days ago, however there has been no report request made by these 2 schools. Harvard's report request came immediately. Has anyone had any experience with these 2 schools? Does the report request normally take a while (at least a few days) or did i do something wrong? Thanks.

Just venting here. I went complete at Duke last week and still haven't heard. Expected it today or yesterday. Grrr! If it doesn't happen soon, they're going to go over their self-imposed 7 day requirement. And that will make me mad.

Whats up guys? I think I remember seeing this question before, but I couldn't find it on a search.
Anyway, I'm wondering how long most people wait to get recommendations processed at this time of year? A few weeks ago, I had one received processed in under a week.
By now, is it 2-4 week wait times?

A lot of new medians are out. I'll post what I have, with ranges if available. Feel free to add and I'll update my first post.
NYU Median LSAT=unreported (167-172). Median GPA=unreported (3.6-3.9)
Columbia Median LSAT=172 (168-169-174). Median GPA=3.7 (3.56-3.81)
Duke Median LSAT=169 (167-170). Median GPA=3.74 (3.61-3.82)
UVA Median LSAT=170 (167-171). Median GPA=3.76 (3.51-3.87)
Overall, it looks like the ABA policy didn't change things that much at top schools.
