I'm trying to figure where I'm going to go to law school. My cycle is basically over (no final word for Harvard or Northwestern, and no final $$$). Here's how my choices are looking:
Stanford (obvious choice?)
CCN (no money at any of them yet)
UVA/Penn (~half tuition at each)
What would you chose in this case? I'm leaning Stanford, unless CCN give me something approaching what UVA/Penn gave me. Does this seem rational or prestige-whorish? If one of CCN gave me 50K (seems like Chicago gives that award out sometimes), are CCN the obvious choice over Stanford? Should I be considering UVA/Penn/Cornell more? I most likely want big law, but academia is a possibility.

So US News probably comes out next month. Let's start the chorus of predictions!

Just got my deferral/hold from Harvard, which was expected. What's the proper etiquette now... can I tell them about Stanford and how I appreciate Harvard's size/location/focus more than Stanford's or is it ridiculous to even bring up that their competitor let me in? I think I might like Stanford a little bit more than Harvard, but I'm an east coast guy, so H gets the edge overall, if I had a choice between them.

I got into Stanford, so I decided to apply to Yale. I know it's late, but if anyone can read my Yale 250, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Just got in!
Was on the phone with my dad (he was complaining about filling out the Need Access) and saw I had a call from a restricted number. The admissions dean talked to me for a long time about tons of stuff, endured my ramblings about how excited I was, gave me her direct number, etc, which was pretty cool. Just wanted to let people know they're still making calls, even to people with mediocre numbers (but good soft factors) like me.

Just heard via email/status checker today. It's ok though. I really liked the school's philosophy and wrote an essay addressing the fact that I didn't have work experience. Oh well.

I love finding new music. American Idol has this new promo for this song called "Rise," so I look it up on their myspace (http://www.myspace.com/robbieseayband
), and it sounds good, but...
...It's Christian rock. I listen to the lyrics and they completely turn me off. Now, I'm a god fearing man and everything, but for me, there's no better way to ruin a song than to make it explicitly about Jesus. It seems cheap f some reason. Thank you.

Hey. Anyone else have their status check date for NU change recently? Does this mean a decision is coming?

I was notified over over the phone I was accepted 12/19. I still haven't gotten my acceptance packet in the mail. Anyone in a similar situation?
