So no consensus on this then...

For you, I don't see how you turn down UT.

OPs case is close.

I'm just really afraid of not getting that high paying job out of UT and getting saddled with debt whereas if this were to happen coming out of WUSTL, the debt would be minimal.  Also worried about UT raising tuition.

Studying for the LSAT / Re: taking June LSAT for waitlists

There's nothing wrong with it though, right?  I mean, anything to better your shot.

I don't know.  You really want to bust your butt again with LSAT madness prep again for a very minor chance that it will help WHILE you are already in torture waiting for application decisions?   Sounds like a formula for insanity to me.  Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything

Hey, I'm doing it.However, the general consensus is that I'm indeed insane so I guess that explains it.

I hereby recant my prior statement.  Gosh, what was I thinking?

What happened?  Did somebody force feed you some Haldol or something?

  lol

lol.  No, I just gave it some thought and realized that I had no good reason to retake.  I was just being greedy when I actually already have the option of going to a pretty good school.

I'm in a similar situation as the OP with a few differences (not enough to warrant making a new thread though).  Anyway, I'm having to pick between the $119,000 at WUSTL and $21,000 at Texas.  Unlike the OP though, I do wanna work in biglaw (or one that would pay something close).  I'm pretty sure I can stomach living in St. Louis for the next 3 yrs for that amount of money but I'd really like to be able to come back to TX after graduation or at least a few yrs thereafter.  What should I do?  This thing is getting more difficult than I thought it'd be.

Had to bump this.  I'm in a somewhat similar situation.  Any more input?  Please?

Seriously considering going but I'm really really torn here between WashU and TX.

Social degenerates?  A bit harsh don't you think?  Anyway, South Texas seems to have a good reputation in Houston and one can actually afford to pay rent in that city, COL is great.

Texas has been great, a few post acceptance letters and an appropriate amount of phone calls.  I would love a t-shirt though but that's probably pushing it.  Anyway, methinks that I'm developing an emotional attachment to that school :D.

Why does Althouse always post photos from Brooklyn? Does she keep an apt there or does she visiting at BLS? I always found that confusing. Volokh > Althouse blogwise though. She was a cutie in her law school days though (based on when she posted her old pics onto the blog)

I was also wondering about that.  Sometimes, it's almost like she's everywhere but Wisconsin.  Will check out Volokh.
