Def Jam and Sony always have internships.  One of my boys in L.A is interning for def jam.  If your interested in sports law, I can forward you a list of over 100 internships at sports/marketing agencies.....

I'd def. appreciate that man. As far as entertainment internships go, what kind of pre reqs does one need to qualify for these kind of jobs? Do they prefer business majors over ohter majors like social science?

i'd rather work for NBC or Sony or something like that.

What are the differences between this kind of job as opposed to one on one? I didn't even know this kind of arrangement existed...sounds interesting.

Well I'm a Poli Sci major so as far as school gos, I don't have a background in entertainment. Besides school, what types of things would be good for a background in entertainment (sports or otherwise)? And MCB, would you say the location of the school makes a drastic difference? How so? Sorry for the endless questions  :P It's finals week so I gotta squeeze em all in while I have the time

Figured who better to ask than you guys...what steps are necessary to become involved in entertainment law? Are there certain schools that are particularly known for excelling in the field? What kind of experience is needed? It's def. something I'm interested in but I don't hear much talk about it on here. Any insight?

I've yet to venture in the world of law related academia, but even in 200 student lectures at my university sometimes I'll just look around like..."I'm really the only black dude in here!". I can imagine it only gets worse as the degrees get higher. Iono what the problem is....

No you don't always call the shots. Please note I am speaking strictly in generality. Do not bombard me with specifics and exceptions to rules. But basically, in high school and middle school women did the choosing, but in college the paradigm shifted. Additionaly depending on what kind of women you want, in this case Kiesha Korporate, wants a certain type of a man. Having said this, post college the effects of the paradigm shift become manifest. But I was always given the impression that safe haven exist in the form of NEw York city, but I could be wrong

I'm not sure I get what you're tryin to say...

Yeah, I wasnt allowed to watch BET when I was growing up and videos were way tamer than they are now.  My kids definitely won't be watching that mess.

Iono...I feel like people give too much power to music. I grew up watching BET religously and I honestly don't feel I ever felt I had to emulate those people, I just liked the music. My parents had no problem with me watching it b/c they knew and I knew if I acted out, I was in trouble whether I wanted to blame it BET or not. I just feel like if the house is in order the kids follow suit...everything can't be blamed on chicks in g-strings.
