Law School Applications / Re: Best type of sandwich?
« on: February 28, 2008, 01:26:29 PM »
A fitting excerpt from a song I sang when I was really little:

"Sandwiches are beautiful, sandwiches are fine
I like sandwiches, I eat them all the time
I eat them for my supper and I eat them for my lunch
If I had a hundred sandwiches, I'd eat them all at once"

My vote is simply a turkey club. Preferably at Macado's in Blacksburg... I miss it  :(

For USC - I sent my app on 12/12, went complete on 1/08 and was accepted on 1/23.

I don't think I applied superlate but it was definitely later than I was initially shooting for... Don't think it's affected me that much so far though.

Would you mind sharing your vitals with me? I applied for their merit scholarship, and am hoping i haven't heard yet just because they're trying to decide how much $ to offer me.  But maybe they're just not sure if i'm getting in.  I.e., i'm wondering whether your profile is much stronger or weaker than mine....

http://lawschoolnumbers.com/display.php?user=qoftheu <-- my LSN profile

Based on the acceptances/scholarships so far on LSN I'm surprised at my quick acceptance & offer. I'm guessing it's because I'm across the country and they want some geographic diversity...

any word if you received any scholarship?  or would that be coming later in the cycle.  it seems like people wiht your numbers got money last year.

They sent me an additional scholarship form to fill out in the acceptance packet so i assume later in the cycle
there was a form about scholarships?  Are you sure it wasn't about financial aid ones?  Because I don't remember filling anything out and they just sent me a scholarship award letter
I didn't fill out any forms and I received a scholarship offer a few weeks after my acceptance.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: W&L 1L Taking Questions
« on: February 25, 2008, 01:07:33 PM »
I picked W&L over GW this past year - if anyone has specific questions feel free to PM me.

No specific questions, just - why did you choose W&L?

That was sort of a joke, although I am a little skeptical of anyone who sees any virtue in the place.

Yeah I figured. You may be right - I could be horrible and just not know it. I love suburbia because it's what I've grown up with. Don't think I can handle living in a city and I did a small town for college which was too slow for me. So I prefer having all the options DC has to offer closeby without having to live there. I don't mind the traffic because I'm used to it. I guess I can understand other people hating it - a lot of my friends from around here do. But I'm happy.

Wow. I grew up in NOVA and live there now and I love(d) it.

You may be a horrible person.

Thanks so much...
