Incoming 1Ls / financial aid
« on: May 09, 2007, 01:06:32 AM »
anyone know how much financial aid i should expect- i made 6300 bucks last year- does it matter that i was 3K dollars under the poverty line?  lets say my tuition with room and board is 30K- how much money should i expect to be able to get, loans, grants, etc?

Choosing the Right Law School / OMG where do i go, please help!
« on: May 07, 2007, 07:23:25 PM »
So basically, St. Thomas Florida is my "only secure" option.  I didn't do so hot on the LSAT- 151- but i didn't study for it either and i was 2.5 years out of college.

my GPA is a 2.5.  I applied in March/April to all my schools- 14 total and the only acceptances i have are from tier 4.

so do i wait it out another year, clear some of my debt and study for the lsat and reasonably expect a high 150-low 160 and apply early or do i suck it up and go to st thomas?

any takers with sound advice is appreciated!

also- i live in charleston SC which is the seventh circle of hell and i want toget ou asap.
