Apply to GULC immediately as they take applicants after first semester.

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / GW Law Part Time
« on: January 27, 2009, 05:31:09 PM »
According to the GW Law website, once admitted part time, one can transfer in the fall into the day division with the "permission of the Dean." After the first semester, one takes a full time course load at night and then a 4 credit class in the summer and then one is in the full time division.

It would seem that one has to register for the spring semester well before fall grades are in (so that the transfer is not grade dependent) and wouldn't one infer that is a virtual automatic transfer into the day division?

If one has marginal stats (e.g. 164/ 3.3), this seems like even an easier path to a top 25 day time program than the path at Fordham Law.

Are there other evening students to work with in a study group? I would think this would be a big difference between day and evening programs. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

Thanks TripJ.

Just to confirm, not permitted to take day classes, correct?

Are you permitted to take any classes during the day? And if you were inclined to transfer into the day program after 1L, how difficult is that? inally, can evening students get Fordham student housing? Thanks.

My guesss is that it will be a considerably better regarded school in 5 years given the PSU reputation and new facility.

Their bar passage rates are terrible, so they need aggressive marketing to get students to go there.

For two years running, Penn State-Dickinson has had the lowest bar passage rate for first-time takers of all seven law schools in Pennsylvania, including Widener-Harrisburg:

2007 bar passage:
2008 bar passage:

How is 80% terrible when the state rate is 83% and U Penn is 95% which obviously brings the average up?

Just read materials that came with admissions package.

Median salary is $160k, which is hard to believe.

I'd say the investment is worth it.

If you attend "evening" (i.e., part time) program, are you allowed to take classes during the day?
