Thank you all for posting. Just to clarify, I applied near the deadline and I have been accepted into third tier schools, such as Vermont, Duquesne, Pierce, and I am waiting on Albany, Wayne State and IU. As far as I can tell it looks like Duquesne has a C curve, might even be a "purge curve." But Vermont and Pierce I have no information on. Vermont seems like a top third tier school, so I hope that they have no need for any purges, but I could be wrong. Given that I have no info, do you think it would be better to email them about it, or wait until I visit the school and ask the students?
I dont doubt myself and my abilities, but I would hate to be in an environment where I am always thinking about getting the boot. Some freedom to make mistakes, which I know will be by the boatload, would be nice.
