Just for the record, I received no email in April. What did the April email say?

Dunno if it means much, but I got the email I mentioned above in response to one I sent my contact person. The info I got regarding spots after the May 1st deposit was sent in response to my request for an update. I was told that spots may open up later on.
Anybody get an email w/good news?
"what about your current profession is driving you away?"
Okay, so the real answer is a long one... but too boring to go into detail. I love science and research and all that jazz... but after half a decade or so at it I'm starting to realize the lifestyle isn't exactly bang-on for me. I've had some experience w/IP law (as an inventor) and the field really interests me. I'm especially curious about international IP issues and how IP is defined differently in different markets. It seems to me that there will be a lot of action in international IP in the near future and I would like to be in on that.
Between us, I think that the days of our"first-to-invent" system are numbered. More later... have to eat a late dinner.
I'm sure you're all on the edge of your seats...
BTW: I second bleed's post w/regard to hoping we all meet each other at GULC... although, frankly, Ithaca's a pretty great place. I nearly went to grad school there.
I live in DC, but I work in Maryland at a big national laboratory. I'm a physicist, got my PhD about 4 yrs ago and my bachelor's in the 90s. I work in applied physics and do all sorts of things, but lately a lot of molecular imaging. Grew up in the mid west and went to a big state school for undergrad. Went to grad at an E Coast school. My numbers are ok (166/3.7), but I applied pretty late. I took the Feb LSAT and sent in my app at the last minute.
I don't have any experience that is directly relevant to the legal profession. If you count science stuff, however, I've been a professional geek since I got my doctorate.
How about you Kang?
Is there some day when they mericfully pull the plug on the unlucky waitlisters... or do they keep them hanging on until the start of the school year?
Anybody have any guess as to how many of there are on the super-secret-part-time-pppl?
