WASHU:
Starting Salaries (2004 Graduates Employed Full-time)
Private sector (25th-75th percentile): $82,000 - $125,000
Median in the private sector: $90,000

Kent:
Starting Salaries (2004 Graduates Employed Full-time)
Private sector (25th-75th percentile): $55,000 - $96,000

You have to bear in mind that St. Louis has one of the lowest costs of living among all major cities in the U.S.  $500 will get you a nice apartment, while something comparable in Chicago would cost you AT LEAST $1,000.  SLU has a good, respectable reputation in the Midwest.
