there isnt much of a distinction between grades required for kirkland and grades required for cravath. I actually got interviews at cravath but not at kirkland last OCI.
As far as lit:
Quinn (great, but surprisingly difficult to get your way in with)
Ropes & Gray (but not NY unless you are interested in IP)
Latham (although they have been harsh to their employees lately)
Those are the only ones I really found worth applying to last OCI. Pretty decent lit practices at all of them.
I've heard terrible things about Crowell, but I guess everyone has a different opinion.
I dont think there is anything wrong with applying to multiple offices. I did NY/DC at some places. The thing is though, Quinn only really has offices in NY and California from what I remember (maybe small offices elsewhere, but at least no DC office). Im sure you know this, but it is really difficult to break into any markets, other than DC/NYC, without a connection to the city. So, I dont know how much success you would have convincing Quinn you actually wanted to work in their other offices. But, I dont know about your connections or interests, so who knows.
