Affirmative Action / Re: The lights are on but nobody's home

I'll take pity on you, assuming that English is your second language.   Please familiarize yourself with some of the basic concepts associated with AA.  If you don't know 'em, how can you scoff at 'em.  Think before you post, please.

I'm a hillbilly and I suffer from stereotype threat.  Shouldn't I get a break too?  I know when I get into Harvard with my 145 LSAT that I'll probably drop out, and my chances of passing the bar are poor, but I'm just so challenged when it comes to those standardized tests.

dipshittedness...God love ya'.  Y'all are funny.  I've no empirical data to back this up, but I've noticed that most of the people with low LSATs who get into the top schools seem to identify themselves as minorities.  Then again, maybe also they were the first ones to go to college, etc, because I'm sure that's what won them that place.  I know y'all wish me luck when I apply to U.T. this year.  Go Longhorns.   Gotta drop a level old girl.

I know you're trying to sound intelligent, and on the face of it, you succeed.  There's a but though, and it's a big old but, and that is, YOU ARE TALKING PRETENTIOUS DRIVEL.  What about the po' white folks?   AA is about skin color.  I'm so sorry your ancestors were enslaved.  Oh no, you had to swim the Rio Grande, oops, then let me sacrifice common sense on the altar of political correctness.  Let me right the wrongs of history.  Do I want to get into a big diatribe on why it all sucks?  Don't think so....I despise your celebration of the mediocre.

Those were just the kind of replies I would expect, thank you.  Further, I expect the guy who got 175 on his LSAT and didn't get into Stanford to view the AA beneficiary who got in with a 165 with complete indignation.  Don't talk to me about soft factors.  Don't talk to me and say, well that's how it works.  It's cheating.  I did look at several other posts.  Can I apply as a URM if I'm only 10% black?  I'm finished with this topic, it's nauseating.  Please don't reply, you just look dumb.

Affirmative Action / I hate AA

I'm half Mexican and could have used AA to my advantage, but haven't.  I look at the stats for the top 5 schools and it's pretty obvious who the minorities are.    Lower LSATs but often fairly decent GPAs.  You're not smarter, you're just taking advantage of entrenched racism.  The free ride continues.  To all those white disadvantaged students out their, yes, please, continue to look upon them with scorn.

I'm half Mexican but don't check the minority box because it's not impacted my life/education in any way.  I hate affirmative action and love mariachi. Please, please, get a hobby or something.
