Wombat! Congrats! It's good to hear that they are getting on their saddle and sending out notifications, etc. I've been trying to chill and not get to antsy but that's almost impossible. Thankfully, my wife and I have had family visitin us in Japan since Thursday so I've been preoccupied and away from the computer. I was pleased to read that people were hearing though. Hopefully I'm in that stack of applications they've finally reviewed. My application date and LSAC file date are similar to yours (LSN: Timbabewe). Now I'm expecting to hear something in the next 10 days or so..... Dang, I hate waiting.
Here's to hoping you get in *clink*

I've been accepted @ Regent, and see it as a safety school. I personally like the idea of law from a Christian perspective, but I'm not sure about being at ANY school so closely associated with a person as opposed to a denomination, etc. Hopefully I get some love from other schools and don't have to go there.... the waiting sucks as I think everyone would agree.
What your friend might consider is something I'm thinking about. I'd be interested in taking some Christian foundations of law courses or something like that, so I may spend a summer there taking a class or two. I'd like the perspective of Regent but not the reputation.
My two yen.

I agree with a previous poster. If they are taking so long to get applications reviewed, it probably means they give a good look at each application, at least that's what I'm hoping.
WNY winters are pretty freakin' cold, but it's all relative. Winter where I am in Japan is sissy compared to Rochester/Buffalo, but as far as I'm concerned, despite my 10 WNY winters... it's cold. So if you're worried about the cold/snow, you'll get used to it. The only thing that may be hard is that it lasts from late October to April... Otherwise, it's not too bad. At least there's a healthy amount of snow to go along with the cold.

That's amazing that they replied to you! I've sent then 2 emails over the past month or so, and nothing. It's pretty frustrating, but what can you do... especially me, as they're my first choice. But 12 weeks?! I pray it doesn't take that long with me.
Does anyone know anything about TAP with NY? I've been sent a link to do their paperwork (though I don't think they'll give me any love.... too much income this year) but I'm not sure of a deadline. It's kinda funny that UB says it may take 12 weeks but that could eclipse the TAP deadline and then according to their website, you're responsible for any difference in $ that you would have received from them. I hope that makes sense.
So to the OP, sorry, nothing heard here either... and Mail to Japan is going to take FOREVER!
Not to steal the thread or anything, but anyone have anything new they've heard from UB, or about UB?

Sorry i don't have anything of value to add, but I'm also curious about MSU. Anyone know anything about the dual degree program with the University of Ottawa?

Cool.... my report was sent on the same day I think. Sadly though, the mail service to Japan is about 10 days longer.......
thanks for the info.

CONGRATS! Glad to hear that UB is starting to send out acceptance letters. I was curious when your applications was completed? Hopefully I can get some sort of idea how long it takes to review an application and send out the decision. (I emailed them a week ago and haven't heard anything....)
Also if you don't mind my asking, what were your stats?

This may seem stupid but do most schools allow you to choose your schedule for your 1st semester or are you just assigned sections? Or if you're assigned, can you request early AM sections... just curious because I've always like 8am classes, and that'll keep me on a similar schedule to my wife a.k.a. the Bread Winner.
Great info so far, keep up the ramblings.

othius....are you on the JET Programme? If so, me too. I know what you are saying...man, we are getting paid to eat nicely wrapped omiyages and play on the computer...Im not complainin...
MJ- Yes, my wife and I are on the JET programme and live in Shizuoka-ken. And for the record, green tea KitKat's are pretty tasty. I'm also a big fan of green tea ice cream. It takes some getting used to but it's amazing.
Nice fat pay check for doing what? I've taught about 10 lessons in 4 weeks. And the 3rd term is a joke.
Gotta love it. Where you living?
