Law School Admissions / Work vs. Travel
« on: July 03, 2007, 11:14:22 AM »
Looking through the online applications from last year, it seems that schools want you to account for all of your WE since, well, forever.
I wasn't working for the past two summers because I was travelling, and I don't want my app to look like I've been doing nothing. How should I address this? should I just write in under the "summer job, year 20XX" that I was travelling and where I was? or something else?

Law School Admissions / A slightly different question
« on: July 02, 2007, 06:37:06 PM »
Since we're all doing it, anyone want to help?

You must be this tall to ride/targets?:
UC Hastings
UC Davis
George Washington

Loyola (CA)

Opinions? anything I should add/delete?

Thanks a lot, I still have a lot of figuring out to do because I'm coming from out of country.

Law School Admissions / Graduate-ish work and LSDAS
« on: July 01, 2007, 09:18:04 PM »
Couple of questions:
I haven't signed up for LSDAS because of a mild panic attack.

when you first start getting it organized on the LSCA website, you have to list schools, how many reports you want to purchase, etc. then there is a notice that you can only change certain details after you press "continue" and pay or whatever( never got to this point).
I don't know how many law schools I plan to apply to and I don't want to have too many or too few. Can you change this later?

But the MAIN reason I am concerned is that I am currently taking a post-grad course.
obviously, it's not a degree (it's just one 8 month correspondance course) and I don't get a grade. How do I list this? Do I write it in as a grad school or just list it on my resume as a course taken after UG? Or should I do something else?

TIA, I don't know who else to ask.

Studying for the LSAT / Fee Waivers
« on: June 30, 2007, 10:42:39 PM »
I know it's very early yet, but does anyone know when schools start to send out the fee waivers that are LSAT score based? I know I'm not a 175+ but I heard there were some decent waivers for people in my score band.

So, free stuff coming my way anytime soon?

EDIT: didn't realize that someone else asked this on the "appling" thread. I don't think anyone has answered yet, though.

Law School Admissions / LSN

How much info is too much in LSN? What ECs/WE/whatever (other than that which would obviously allow one to be easily identified) should not be posted? I'm new to the LSN as I just got my june LSAT!

Let's condense this, shall we?

Who's here? who's waiting around until we hear?
