Hello all, is anyone willing to read and critique an e-mail I am going to send to a school that I am WL'd at?

If yes, please pm me with your email addy and I will send it to you.

If not, no sweat!  ;D

Yeah, the debt is definitely daunting...I am not too keen on having to take loans; however, I do not have much choice in the matter.

Thanks for the advice penndude.  I am leaning towards UNC as of late.  The new rankings do have me unnerved however.

Hello All,

So it appears that my cycle is pretty much over since all schools have given me an answer with the exception of waitlists from UF, Emory, and WUSTL.  My offers of admission are as follows: UNC w/no money so far, Pitt w/16k, and Temple w/15k.  Since I am the first person in my family to go to college, I am not privy to any law school advice from my parents or siblings.  I really do not have much of an overwhelming preference amongst those three schools.  With regard to locale however, I prefer to stay in the South.  I did my UG at Cornell and my M.A. at UF, suffice to say, the cold kicked my butt...I am a Florida boy.

Also, I am not sure what type of law I would like to practice/study either.

Any insight would be much appreciated.   :)

thats the thing...I wanna send this to a WL school.  However, I really have nothing substatial to say to them besides the fact that they are my number one choice and that I will accept an offer as soon as one is extended.

The LOCI has been talked about ad nauseum on this site; however, how do you all feel about letters of intent.  I was talking with a buddy of mine who will be attending med school and he said that LOIs are a great idea.  Essentially, you state that if given an offer you will accept and send in the seat deposit promptly...albeit more eloquently dictated.

I dunno, what do you guys and gals think?

I will definitely continue lifting.

Well, at least it aint a ding.  It is still upsetting however.  Nothing in the letter mentioned any ranking essentially just said that they can admit you at any time before 8/15 (the first day of classes).  My #1 choice is UNC; however, UF would be nice to have in my back-pocket just in case the UNC debt scares me off.   :(
