The two firms I have worked for (both major Dallas firms) would not really know what to think about a W&L grad that tried to get a position.  Trust is big in law and Dallas firms are not an exception.  Both firms I worked for looked to recruit out of the top SMU grads way before the medium UT grads.  They both also loved Tulane graduates and placed them as equals next to SMU.  Baylor was a weird case and depending on the recruiter grads were sometimes placed equal to SMU and other times below Houston.

It looks like SMU fits your needs better, but definitely visit as I was impressed by the facilities but not impressed by the people.

This happens every cycle, the schools are waiting to see what happens with the auto-admits.  This year, though, there are a lot more people sitting around than I remember in the past 2-3.

There is a general feeling right now that schools ranked 18-30 have, as a whole, offered more scholarship dollars this year to steal some of the high scoring applicants.  The 31-50 schools are a complete mixed bag but they will be awarding the prestigious "named" scholarships over the next few weeks to try and pull in some high scorers themselves.

Still let me just say it again, this happens every cycle.

Law School Applications / Tulane curve?

My quick web research shows that about 60% of students have a 3.0 or better, but I am looking for some hard figures.

Does anyone know what curve Tulane employs? 25%, 50%, 75% graduating gpa?
