Studying for the LSAT / DO NOT ask for answer keys!
« on: September 13, 2008, 11:48:13 PM »
The official prep tests come with answer keys.  If yours didn't, it's more than likely pirated.
Be a good citizen and buy the tests.

Studying for the LSAT / The Order of Things: an Analogy
« on: August 06, 2008, 06:37:02 PM »
A guy decides he wants to start playing golf.  Not just playing recreationally, mind you, he wants to play on the PGA Tour and has actually signed up for the trials coming up next year.  He's never played before and doesn't really know much about the game except perhaps how it's scored.  So he devises a plan of action for learning and improving his game.  First, he's going to enter several local tournaments--just for practice.  Then, once he's improved a little, he'll get some books on golf and perhaps spend a little time on the driving range.  In the remaining few months before the trials, he'll really intensify his practice and hire a golf instructor to help him with his game.

What do you think of this plan?

It's been a while since Liz blessed us with her Ultimate Guide to LSAT Links (which can be found here).  I have picked out the juiciest of those links, cleaned out the dead ones, and added some more recent links to the mix.  If you have a good link you think should be in this list, please PM me with your suggestions.  If you find dead links in this thread, please PM me too.  Big thanks to Liz, Bernie, and Jeffort for helping me find so many links without the search button.

Enjoy.

Must-Own Materials
Everyone should practice with ACTUAL PrepTests created by LSAC.

It is now common for most classroom courses to provide students with all or most previously released LSAT questions, so check with your course instructor before potentially purchasing duplicates.  See below for PrepTest Identities.

Supplemental Materials
Buyer beware!  Most retail books on LSAT are of poor quality and should be avoided.  The following are books typically recognized as not sucking.

If it's not in this list, don't buy it.  If it is in this list, review a copy and decide for yourself.  If you think something should be in this list, PM EarlCat.
