Meeting women is so much easier when you're on a self improvement kick.

I think you mean meeting women is much easier when you have actually improved.  No one wants a project, right?

Pfff.  Women live for fixer-uppers.  It allows them invest effort at making the guy/relationship better, and thus feel validated by the improvement.  That whole bit on wanting-what-they-can't-have reigns pretty true.

Which is why social retards with no dating options get sucked into a vicious cycle.  They are so undesirable that they are willing to GIVE away their attentions and affections to any girl that will make eye contact with them.  They do favors (like doing her homework or buying her meals/flowers) for women thinking that they will be REWARDED with her affections.  This is BASS-ACKWARDS.

Flowers and dates are rewards to be earned.  Same goes for compliments.  Women don't want to be GIVEN compliments... any as$hole in a bar can say "you have pretty eyes."  Women want to EARN and DESERVE compliments.  The best ones are when you take special notice of something that she's went out of her way to do, either for herself or for you.

That's the end of the lesson for today.

Where should I go next fall? / Atheist at Ole Miss... cultural misfit?

I'm aiming for Air Force JAG.  Tuition is of major concern.  Mississippi's cost is very cheap and they have a program that center and a journal that I'm VERY interested in.

For the last four years I've lived in a fairly liberal Wisconsin college town, and while I embrace fiscal conservatism, socially I'm definately to the left.  I'm definately more libertarian than anything.

The way I see it, atheists are a distrusted minority anywhere, and I generally stay in the closet about it anyways.  Just how foreign is would the culture be for me down there?

To the OP:

It sounds like you're going to have to make a lot of money to overcome your social retardation.  That sounds like a dig, but it's an honest assessment.

You need to build your social skills generally and become more comfortable interacting with both men and women.  You sound pretty awkward.

Other than that, get in shape, dress better, and cultivate ambition.  Meeting women is so much easier when you're on a self improvement kick.

My first acceptance!  I'm pretty excited about the school.

I applied for the fall... think I can transfer into the summer program?

I got fired from my delivery driving job the week of the September LSAT for picking up a pack of smokes for a customer.

It took me over a month and a half to find a even a bullsh|t job.  Aside from selling plasma, I'm bartending at a Red Lobster, and it sucks ass.  I had my pre- one-month-review review Friday.

Getting my first acceptance makes me not think about $$$, though.

Yup.  UI-B.  I just found out that Bloomington is smoke free.  I was thinking about bartending one night a week in LS, so it gets a brownie point.

Acceptances / Re: Depaul University Email

I called them and explained that I'd recieved a confusing email.

The admissions guy asked for my name and SSN...

He said "Well, I'm not allowed to tell you over the phone... but let's just say the email was right.  We'll get that letter out for ya asap."

You're in too.  'grats.

Acceptances / Partial Scholarship must be accepted by April 1st, YIKES!

I got my first acceptance from a school I'm very strongly considering.  Merit based, totals about 1 year free.

The thing is, I get in-state tuition at a comparable school that would be much cheaper.  Based on LSN, there's no way the in-state school will be back to me by April 1st!  I've got 12 pending applications.  This deadline is unreasonably early.

"To accept our offer, you need only respond by email or otherwriting explicitly stating your intention. You may respond any time but no later than April 1, 2007. We require no deposit. Out tradition is to accept your word as an aspirant to the legal profession. Upon receipt of your acceptance, we will begin the process of facilitating your transition to ****** and the School of Law community. Your first day of orentation will begin at 9 a.m. on ***********."

What do I do?
