I borrowed the Kaplan books from the library and bought LSAC's official study items and a lot of former tests online.

Just saw this, sorry. I actually applied last year and am committed to CLS, so yeah Chicago is out. I loved quarters in UG, in all fairness, I'm not sure how I feel about it in law school. Semesters are just a very foreign concept for me. I have a friend from ug who went to Chicago for law school (so quarters-->quarters) and even though she was accustomed to that setup, she has said Chicago's having quarters in law school is one of her biggest complaints.

Like I said, I really have no idea having never been to law school. I imagine you get accustomed to whatever setup you are given.

Is your friend on LSD?  If not, would you mind elaborating on her reasons for disliking the quarter system. 


she's not - i just think that she doesn't appreciate having finals three times a year!  :D

Hello,

I know a family w/ a mutliple handicapped kid whose school is really failing them (there are some safety issues as well), and I think that they will be looking for legal advice.  Does anyone have any good websites or info for people looking to get pro bono services w/regards to the Individuals with Disabilities Eduacation Act.  If there's any graduates or students out there that have experience with this and can point me in the right direction, I'd really like to be able to help them out.

Thanks.  A fairly thin purple folder arrived in the mail yesterday.  4.0 (LSAC 4.11) and 179.

Jeez, Shark!  If I were you, and didn't have any REAL preference in the top 14, I would have applied to all of them with really sloppy applications and personal statements that seriously insulted each school.  Then I'd just watch myself go 14 for 14.

I did apply to 10 of the top 14 plus IU Bloomington and wasn't confident enough to try the whole sloppy apps approach for any of them. :D  If this board has shown me anything it's that the competition is stiff.

In at NYU! (yesteday)  Funny, because they never even let me know that they received my application--let alone that it was complete.  I was actually getting worried, so if anyone else is in that boat take heart.
