ya know, to be honest with you, that's all I needed to hear.

Roughly 100K of debt isn't something to take lightly not to mention the money I'm not making by going to school for 3 years. I'm in at some pretty good schools and I know I want to practice law. I have alot of passion for it, but overall, is it really that good of an investment? I think it is, but potential financial woes concern me.

Nice. Count me in. Although from living 22 years in Boston, I'd have to say that the normal girl from Boston is sub par compared to other parts of the country.

I just sent out an email to BC letting them know about some other scholarships I have received. I sent it to the financial aid office so I hope it's going to the right place. I plan on making a followup call in about a week. Hopefully they aren't too stingy....

Ah the age old question.

I'd have to say they are pretty much the same and just go to the one that offers you some money. BC is in the suburbs and BU is in the city, so that may play a role too. I've heard similar things about the competitiveness of BU as well.

It seems like your average joe doesn't know very much about law school. They base most of their assumptions on the Undergrad reputation.

sadly home does mean with my parents. Which is obviously a minus but I'm willing to swallow some of my pride in order to save some money. As for the cowboy lawyer thing, that's an inside joke dating back to the whole red sox's "cowboy up" thing a couple years back. Thanks for the advice. I think you're right that I need to visit these schools and I plan on doing just that. In the long run, I'm spending the next 3 years of my life in radically different locations, so I better be happy there.

yeah I did on another board but it started to die down. Basically I've been getting alot of input which has been great and I just wanted some more. Sorry if it's becoming annoying for anyone. I promise this is the last thread about it!

Yup. Although for the hell of it we can make this a 15-30 battle royal.
