sorry if this has already been covered...

does anyone know if HLS has Lenovo deals, and if so, how to access them?

thanks!
If you are planning on purchasing a new computer we suggest you use the Harvard University Technology Product Center (more information available at http://www.law.harvard.edu/administration/its/students/admit.php#purchase) to purchase an already configured HLS recommended Lenovo T60 (Microsoft Windows XP™ Professional) or T60p (Microsoft Windows Vista™ Home Premium) laptop at a substantially discount.

Each of these models will include:
- Symantec Anti-Virus
- Microsoft Office
- Will be configured to access the HLS wireless network
- Contains pre-configured links to HLS resources
- Is supported by the HLS Student Help Desk

Arriving with a well functioning computer, copies of your operating system and other software CDs, and knowledge of your applications is very important.

Thanks, katluva!  :-*

Picked a HAH apt--Haskins Hall. I WISH they would tell you what friggin floor your apartment is on. But no, I have to use my sleuthy skills.

Anyway, my lease starts 8/7, so I'll be up the following weekend, probably.

I also got an HAH apt. about 10 days ago . . . in Terry Terrace! (although I hope its not too noisy w/ the NW corner construction). Good luck to everyone still on the hunt.

Glad to know there were still TT apartments open just 10 days ago.  My window is not until mid-July ( :-\), but I'm hoping that things work out for me nonetheless.

Nat, not to put a damper on the situation, but, when I picked my apt last week, there were no more units available in Terry Terrace.  It's possible that more units in TT may open up and you might well find one during your window.  I'm sure you'll find something decent.  Good luck!

Yay! Glad you found something!

Also, Harvard 'guaranteed' housing in dorms, but then retracted that guarantee. Not the same, obviously, but still :P

How in heaven's name do you "retract" a guarantee??  I'd be pissed off about that, but I didn't really care for the dorms to begin with.

Pink, my window's coming up this week. If there any specific buildings you're interested in, I'll have a look for you, if you want.

Thanks, Dash!  check your PMs.

Housing is hugely irritating.  The HAH website is just terrible.

Nobody has a HAH two bedroom and wants a great roommate?

hint hint.

Sorry, no 2BR here... but just wanted to concur on the hugely annoying HAH process.  The 13-week selection process is annoying as hell.  I would be much happier if I could, at least, view which apartments are available so that I know whether it's worth waiting for my window or not...if the units I want are already gone 3 windows before mine, I know it's time to make other plans, but we don't even have that luxury here  >:(

What part makes no sense? It seems to make perfect sense to me?

That's probably true, but self-selection over a number of years still make a trend, which again is reflected in the hiring partners, well, expectations rather than preferences perhaps. I got an impression pretty much anyone from both HLS and CLS walks into a Big Law job if they want one.

That makes absolutely no sense.  What trend are you talking about?  And what makes you think this trend has anything to do with hiring preferences between HLS and CLS grads?

Okay..well honestly I just don't fit with the philosphy that is prevalent on this message board so I will just keep my opinons to myself. It seems particpating here has caused more strife then any good I apologize for wasting other peoples time

::yawns::

Hey you!

hey there!  I see you still refuse to accept that you're coming to HLS  :D
