I applied for housing. I don't have the time or energy to navigate the NYC housing market, and am kinda happy that there won't be any travel time involved in getting to school. I commute to work right now using the T, about 30 minutes each way, and it really sucks when I'm pulling a late night and then have to commute home.

Bump, to keep us on the first page  :)

Ooh, we could play a fun and kinda stalker-ish game of "Identify the LSD Poster in the Facebook Group".

Are any of you the pantsless guy with the coffee mug?

Not me....

Schruted, are YOU the pantsless guy with the coffee mug??  :o  :D

And....I have no good answer to that, hahaha. I think the last time I had a pajama party I was in middle school. I'm imagining a bunch of law students wearing pigtails and pajamas and holding law textbooks while jumping on their beds and eating lots of chips and candy!

That's classic. It would have to be in Mercer though, so everyone could fit  :D

I bet we could arrange it, haha. I'm all for having a pig-out pajama party....but maybe without the law books.  ;D

quizzle, you're so rah rah NYU (yay!) that I'm curious who you are (for facebook NYU class of 2010 stalking purposes, of course)....if you PM me your name, I'll PM you mine!!

Yeah, that was the idea ;)

So if we aren't cute, you won't let us hang out at your place??  :P Ugly girls need love and friendship too, you know.
No they don't.

Mean, KeNo...you're mean.  :o I'm convinced that your internet personality is a front, and that in person you're a big teddy bear!

;D

I'm going over in June to look for an apartment. I hope you guys will invite me to parties even if I live off-campus :(

Only if you'll let us use your place as an escape from the dorms!!  ;D

By "us" you mean cute law chicks having a PJ party right? If so, sure!

Maybe they just want the cuties in early, the rest will have to wait :p

Awww, KeNo...I know some people give you sh**, but I like you already.  ;)

Just got my NetID and email account, and submitted the housing form. I was surprised to get the info already; I was expecting to have to push the May 15 housing deadline. I find it lame that the only personal question they ask for matching you with a roommate is, "Are you neat?" That might be a disaster. Also, their web email is really slow. I wonder if most students forward their NYU mail to a Gmail account or something.

What rooms are you guys preferencing? I went with all D'Ag, doubles then triples.

I went with D'Ag doubles and then triples, listed rooms in Mercer in the "additional info" section, and then basically made a note that if I can't get one of my choices I'm willing to be flexible.

I was accepted with a 3.87, 169. Non-URM, female, top liberal arts university.

A 169 is a very good score, and will get you in to some great schools! Best of luck.

Hi guys,

same here, can't wait to meet everyone. The people from the facebook group also seem to be a very fascinating bunch.
On a side note (rant), last week I called the housing office to see whether they had any apartments available for the summer. The lady was extremely rude! She pretty much told me that everything was taken and that I'm on my own. Thanks a lot for the help! Oh well, what can you do.
Anyway, can't wait to meet you guys!

Weird....I called the housing office to ask about the probability of being able to move in early, and they were very nice! Maybe you caught her on a bad day.  :-\
