::agrees::

For serious.  The bigwigs from the student side are really overly serious and elitist, and they seem to have no sense of their own class privileges (among other things).

hahaha

Where were you when I was beaking them months ago?

Sax:  I'm dying to know who you're talking about, but it's cool if you don't want to PM and tell me.  Either way, boooooo at the sitch.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Sax, but weren't you in a different state this weekend?  Couldn't this be why the gentleman in question isn't following up?

Well, I was in my home state this weekend, which is also said gentleman's home state.

I don't know if taking things to a different level made it weird, if he didn't consider that things really had gone to a different level, if I'm just gross, etc.

For J:

wow.  What's with all the negativity from the two people I least expect it from?

(note:  piggy doesn't g-dub).

I mean, I figure today at least, I'm the one who should be negative.  But then Fry convinced me to drink, and I'm doing ok.

I'm not one of those two, am I?

Because you really should expect it from me.

f-ing fucks.

And is it acceptable usage?

My thought process, followed by my answer:

1. Silence is good.

2. Eliminating unnecessary words increases silence, and therefore good.

3. Everyone will understand "I've never been!" to mean "I've never been there!" given the context of the exchange.

4. "There" is an unnecessary word in the sentence "I've never been there".

5. Eliminating the word "there" increases silence, and therefore good.

So yes.

Why is "there" an unnecessary word?  I don't like your faulty assumption in point 3.

Is this law school or therapy?

LS

the idea is that you can better communicate and read needs and desires in client counseling/negotiations when you can 1) better understand yourself and 2) get more comfortable with reading others

AFAIC, this may be THE most important thing you ever learn for your career.

*A general "you".  Not just Mu, specifically.

I'm a guy, and I'll be starting at LS in 2009. I know that the law is a pretty conservative profession, and I wanted to know how long hair is viewed. I've been traveling overseas for about a year, and have grown my hair while I've been here. I've gotten pretty used to it being long- right now its about upper shoulder length-  and it's well taken care of and groomed. I don't really think it would effect me while I'm actually at LS per say, but what about when I have interviews. Even if it is shortened to neck length, and in good condition, what would the people interviewing me think, from a general point of view?

Length didn't seem to be a problem, although I think it depends on who you're interviewing with.  Cleanliness and presentation seem more important.  PM me for more info.  Too lazy to respond to threads.
