You must be one of those feminazis I go to school with. I really like being around girls most of the time because a lot of my friends are lesbians so there's less competition for the fellas.

Those would be the good lesbians, I guess.

Also: ;)

Gosh, how do you make those smiley faces?

Oh! I see!

This is ridiculous.  Can't you see the OP just wants advice?

OP:  Try some of the wisdom here...

Personal Statement / Re: Personal Statement Workshop

Maybe you could write a diversity statement about how hard it is to be beautiful? I think it would compliment your PS nicely.

Hmm, I did think of that, but I'm very modest and not sure that I'm quite beautiful enough. I've done some pageants, but I'm always runner up.

Wow, I didn't read this thread but I could tell how helpful it would be from the title. Here's the first paragraph of my ps:

I was born in a rundown shack in a bad part of town. My mom was a poor single woman who ended up abandoning me at the nearest fire station. It tore me up for a long time deep down inside to think of the squalid and difficult life I would have had if my birth mother hadn't given me up. Yet, I know the decision was probably difficult for her as she would likely have been eligible for additional federal programs had she kept me. My goal in becoming a lawyer is to change the way our federal aid is dispursed, so that no young mother should ever have difficulty making a choice to give her baby up to better, richer parents. In my federal aid program young mothers will be given 10k for doing the right thing and sending their beautiful but poor babies on to better, happier and more prestigious lives.

Honestly, it is tough to improve on that.

Wow, thanks, I did get an A in my freshman writing composition class.

What kind of job responsibility did you have? Did you have to work long hours as a summer associate?

are you asking about my firm or legal aid experience? they were quite different.

Wow, well I'd really like to hear about both, though I think I personally would be more likely to go into a firm job.

No hate. Just defending my friend Liz!  :D  It's a movie reference? Carry on then...

You must watch Mean Girls. You would love it.

I personally think that thinking that Fordham is disreputable is arrogant and possibly stupid. Truly intelligent people are not arrogant.

Oh, please, tell me more about your amazing life view.

In my experience intelligent + rich = arrogant. I'm sure you haven't met those kind of people irl though, since you obviously work at Wendy's.

i call flame.

Boo you whore. I don't even know what this means.

This has to be the least helpful board EVER.

It looks like you began attacking people first, Gretchen. Pretty ballsy when you just registered for the site today.

Why the hate?

Don't you recognize a Mean Girls reference when you see it?

which 7 sisters did you attend, honey?

Hold on, I'm going to PM you. Some of my classmates are applying to law schools so I don't want them to know who I am.
