Oh, you're right about that.  It used to be fun for me, then I made the dumbass mistake (three times, no less) of getting promoted.  Now I'm responsible for everything that goes wrong on the scene and I get credit for nothing that goes right.  The guys on the nozzle get all the fun and I get all the paperwork and Monday morning quarterbacking from the chief.   >:(

Same here.  Did my fair share of drinking in college and as a firefighter.  I've discovered that--Wow!--I can't do that anymore now that I'm in my mid-forties.  Guess I'll have to spend all that time studying instead of drinking myself to oblivion.   ;)
