one can believe/think what they like.  its when it escapes from your mouth is when it becomes public, and therefore you become culpable for it.

free speech is limited, anyway.  you can't yell "fire!" in a crowded movie theater, etc.

But can I yell "Theater!" in a crowded house fire?   ???

jk, usually I'm mumbling "oh, sh*t" in house fires...

I sent them an "um...about that decision" e-mail on Monday and have not yet heard back from them.  They must be really busy or very adverse to giving out bad news!

I got this email on Monday the 23rd:

Thank you for your recent application inquiry.  Currently, your
application is with the Admissions Committee and you'll be notified in the
next week of a decision.  Should you have any additional questions, please
don't hesitate to contact the main office.

So, next week?  By the 1st?

Anglo-Saxons are over-rated. It's us Scotsmen who are the shiznat these days...

TITCR.  1/2 Scottish and 1/2 Irish here.  I'm a golf-playing, drinking, fighting Scots/Irishwoman.  And I've the red hair to prove it... :D

Also, because I enjoy quiet leisure activities at home, I am so grateful that I can pass up (because I am an old fogey) those "law revues" at noisy, crowded clubs/bars, where the goal seems to be (according to what some of the younger ones say) getting as wasted as humanly possible in as short a period of thank you; been there, done that, got the t-shirt...NEXT!

Same here.  Did my fair share of drinking in college and as a firefighter.  I've discovered that--Wow!--I can't do that anymore now that I'm in my mid-forties.  Guess I'll have to spend all that time studying instead of drinking myself to oblivion.   ;)

1.  Make twelve pounds of deer sausage
2.  Finish writing grant application for 2007 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program
3.  Start paper for Basic Quantitative that is due on 5/1
4.  Drink alcohol

400,000 vehicle deaths last year....I think it's time to ban cars.  Whose with me?

Over 500,000 deaths in the US last year because of heart disease.  Let's ban all fatty foods, close all the fast food restaurants, arrest people who eat butter.   ;)

u b quiet, thats not even funny!

I'll never give up butter.  "From my cold, dead hands!!!!"   ;D

be funny all you want i go to the produce section for a reason

mmmmm, spinach!  E coli...

I live in FL- those old people speed and they give you the finger if they have to go around you. I figure that grandma knows she doesn't have time to waste

That'll be me someday.  Not the living in Florida part, though...

Old people driving period, scares me. Nobody over the age of 65 should be allowed to drive.

Try telling that to the first group of 76 million baby boomers who'll turn 65 in 2011.   :D
