OK, the guys had their turn, now it's ours: What schools are the hot ladies at???

I'd like to know this, but I don't think my g/f wants me to know.   ;)

Law School Admissions / Re: Who Sends Out T-Shirts?

I put my IU law sticker on my car eventhough I havent decided where Im going yet.  I figured it serves the same purpose as one of those fire department stickers people put in their front windows---makes cops less likely to pull you over.

The fire department sticker (for career departments) is often an IAFF sticker (International Association of Fire Fighters) and it indicates union membership.  Volunteer FD members sometimes have stickers in their car windows indicating membership in a VFD association.

I quit putting an IAFF sticker on my p/u truck years ago because 1) I can no longer abide the "leadership" and policies of my local union, 2) I don't agree with the political positions taken by the IAFF, and (last but not least) 3) the sticker did not deter LEOs from issuing me tickets for minor traffic offenses.  In fact, it sometimes appeared the sticker provided law enforcement with an easy method to specifically target me for such offenses.  (You know, that whole thing about being held to a higher standard because I'm a public safety official.)

I can't speak for every jurisdiction, but around here (north central Ohio) fire and police don't cuddle up and make nice very often.  On a larger scale, remember what happened at the WTC site after 9/11?  LEOs and FFs were fighting in the streets because LEOs were trying to keep FFs from searching for their own in the rubble.

I find that I get a more favorable response from a LEO if I have one of my pugs in the vehicle with me when I get stopped.  A sick dog has gotten me out of two speeding tickets.   ;D

the parents indicated that they'd be happy with Columbia, but happier with Princeton, Harvard, or Yale.  Kinda sad...

Thank god my parents died long before I ever started thinking about applying to law school.   ::)  Actually, they're probably twirling in their graves because their daughter is just a dirt-bag firefighter who's applying to PT programs at T3 law schools.

OP, come back in about twenty to twenty-five years...enough time for you to have suffered through life's real disappointments.

p.s. rugercaptian~  does the name imply at all that you play(ed) rugby?  if you played rugby and live in OH (thought i saw that on one of your posts)- there's a 99% chance we know each other.  just curious~

You know, someone else on this board asked if I knew rugby songs.  ???  I'm totally clueless.  My screen name is a combination of Ruger (gun manufacturer) and Captain (my rank at the time I first went online).  Although I think I would make a damn fine rugby player...I at least have the drinking part down.  Well, that and I'm "family." :D

I've been to Put-in-Bay and Sandusky, but don't think we stopped in Toledo.  Me being a Marshall alum makes going to Toledo a difficult choice...all those MAC Championship battles and what not :)

Sandusky?  Cedar Point, may I assume?

there are a couple other trolls lurking around here who would give zancdeblanc a run for his money.

just sayin'

Well, he could run (even run for his money), but he would only die tired.   ;)

Studying for the LSAT / Re: PT 51 ordered-not yet rec'd

I ordered PT 51 (Dec '06 test) through  The site indicated it'd be available in late January.  No notice, yet, of it being available.  Is it somewhere online that I can download?  I'd like to get it before sitting for the test Saturday.

Got mine in the mail yesterday.  I ordered it on January 21.  Don't know if it can be downloaded from LSAC.

yaa.. i am doing 1 last PT today.. 50..

PT 50 today, 51 tomorrow and just a couple of sections in the AM on Friday.  No booze until Saturday night after the test.  Broiled salmon and cottage cheese for dinner Friday night; yogurt and grapefruit Saturday morning.  Multi-vitamins, fish oil capsules every day.  Lucky hat and a bazillion No.2 pencils...gotta get my game face on.   ;D

Going without ten cups of coffee Saturday morning will be hard to do, though...

OK, for real:

1.  Listening to my significant other breathe while she's sleeping.
2.  Listening to my four pugs snore.
3.  Watching a deer approach my stand.
4.  Enjoying a cold beer on a hot summer day.
5.  Eating a fresh, warm glazed doughnut.
