Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Did I make a wrong decision?
« on: June 22, 2007, 01:51:19 PM »
I withdrew from  NYU and accepted NWU instead because NWU offered $60K scholarship. Did I make the right decision? After all, NYU is among the top 4,while NWU lags far behind. Am I too short-sighted? I just cannot bear the thought to have huge debt after graduation.

If you were planning on being a regular over at XOXO, I'm sure you'd take crap for this, but ultimately, no, I don't think it makes a difference.

Now if you turned down Yale, that'd be a different story -- they have a VERY prestigious club in NYC.

I heard Bork takes a lot of trips there. HEY-O!!

You need to do real well right from the get-go.  You will need to start studying for the LSAT sometime in your junior year (if you intend to go straight to law school).  Also, stop reading this site and have some FUN in college ... there is no point stressing about law school now.

Right now the collective advice from anyone;

1) Get involved
2) Relax/have fun/find out who you are
3) Do get decent grades
4) Don't sweat the LSAT for another 3 years
5) Dont get busted for anything too illegal
5a) If you do get busted make sure its frosh/soph year and dont let it happen again
6) Dont get anyone/yourself preggers
7) Get close to some professors in a year or so whom can write sterling letters of rec

That is the site where people detail their numbers and apps.  You'll notice many posters have links to their lawschoolnumbers profile in their signatures here.  Have fun!

The correct way to phrase this with just the correct amount of snark would be:

For the record, you people are all cracked nutters.  Take it as a compliment.
what's a nutter? Don't tell me what to do... >:(

I was going to cancel my score today. I thought about it over the weekend and decided to try again in September. Then I go to the site and see 6 DAYS. *!@$(@#$#@)@*@&# This sucks man. I'm really worried about my score now.

Perhaps you turned yourself upside down. It happens to me frequently.
