Where should I go next fall? / Re: Golden Gate--Worth my time?

Anyone?

I think taking a gamble on a T3/4 isnt that big of a problem, but taking a gamble on a school that is one of two schools on ABA probation is..

I never would have decided for.  It was merely a hypothetical that I thought was somewhat creative / absurd.  I tried to delete this thread after it was posted because I realized it was a waste of peoples time to respond because there was no chance I would attempt it.

Thanks for all the advise guys.  I could have sworn I deleted this thread immidiately after posting it.  It's a stupid idea which I have since decided against.

The scary part is that there was a time when you might have been deciding for.

Common sense. Don't forget it when you start reading cases and analyzing ridiculous issues.

Duh, thats just common sense.... oh *&^% i see what you did there!

I just received my acceptance and scholarship offer from Golden Gate.  I'm currently on the waitlist at my top two choices (Soutwestern and Chapman), is Golden Gate worth my time?  I've definitely heard some of the negative but is there anything positive that would warrant me taking a trip to visit or consider attending?  I want to practice in California and am currently interested in either Criminal or Entertainment law...but obviously things change!  Any advice is definitely appreciated  :)

When they come off ABA probation I bet there will be a wicked f-in kegger.

You've got to sit through a video, but it's worth the pay off for a Cooley jingle...8)

Oh GAWD! I had to go through that THREE times until I was finally able to record the jingle. The first two times, my dad came in at the very end and asked me to help him with something. Each time!

This is going to be my new ring-tone. I'm also showing up to ASW next year with my Cooley-gear! Only, I hope it's not going to be at Cooley.

Also, I liked that one student's (ahem) boldly-unique name."Ebonee Avery". hehehe.

I feel I've been infected, somehow.

You recorded it and havent posted it here yet?!?!???!???!!!

I can't get the Microsoft trial to work for me for some reason.
My school offers Microsoft Student Office 2007 for $148.95 & OneNote for $44.95.  (Plenty of retailers offer Student Office 2007 for $120 on sale.)  Lame, lame discount.  >:(

And the internet offers both for $0. It's ok as long as you're a student:p

 :D  I love it.

where can you get OneNote 2007 for free online?

bittorrent
usenet
ftps
edonkey
dc++
a number of random .ru or .cn sites

It's really not all that hard to find.

LOL at www.edonkey.com recently.

When you say "talk to law schools" do you mean call them up and get adcomms up on the phone, or will writing an addendum be sufficient?

I would call.

"N/a" might mean he's dead.  I wouldn't just put that.

I would take N/A to mean you were an immaculate conception. Email adcom.

Personal Lord & Savior... would this work for me or against me on a diversity statement?

Make sure you aren't associated with PersonalLSATJesus (old poster that was a giant feminine hygiene product or turd sandwich)

Wayne's placement is definitely better than MSU, for someone with great grades. For someone with average grades or poor grades, placement will likely be about the same.

I don't think MSU is worth the cost. Despite being associated with a recognizable university, placement is still on par with any other tier 2/3/4 school.

Go to your local state school instead.

Didnt they give out free laptops to the rising 1Ls this year... Sounds like they completely trumped Florida Costal's iPods
