I too noticed they seem to have lowered their standards a bit.  I think this might be the result of a gradual increase in transfer-friendliness.  Two years ago they took 40, last year they took 61, this year it seems like they may take even more.  I think it will end up easing the transition for us, though, since accepting more transfers (hopefully) means they'll be making more accommodations to meet our needs, and we'll have more fellow transfers to socialize with.

I'm anxious to get to DC!  Hope you guys are as excited as I am.

From my understanding, GW places well in NYC biglaw.  I don't know how it stacks against Fordham, but I've heard a lot of people trash talking Fordham so who knows. 

Congrats all!  I'll probably be at GW at the fall and look forward to meeting some of you.  Especially once we get past the "OH, you're NeverTrustKlingons?? I'm santropez!!" 

I'll be wearing a nametag with the LSD logo and santropez written on it, so come find me.

I was waitlisted at GULC... I'll go there if I get in.  It's just good to know that no matter what, I'm moving to DC.

I think GW is the right choice for you if you want to do NYC biglaw.  Probably places better there than WUSTL.  Based on the stats I've seen, it seems like the majority of GW grads end up taking the NY Bar, that's probably a good indicator.

I think I just got into GW?  Haha.... I called the admissions office expressing my worries about them not having received my updated rank yet. The adcom told me not to worry because my second semester grades were outstanding and a decision has already been made.  If that a means reject than the guy is just heartless ;P.
