You definitely won't shoot yourself in the foot. What you WILL do, is increase your chances for acceptance.
You can switch to full-time later or if you do well (top 15 - 20% of your class) you may even decide to transfer to a higher ranked school (your law school grades will hold more weight on your transfer app than your LSAT).

Well, if you apply the answer may be yes or it may be no. If you don't apply, the answer will certainly be NO.
You're above the 25% LSAT at Santa Clara. How's your GPA?

Yea, same here. My GPA went up .06 which makes a substantial difference for some of my reach schools. Hopefully they process my updated transcript and get it sent out before I get dropped into the "auto ding" pile.

I know it sounds cliché, but I am going to law school, not so much for the career prospects but for the knowledge gained. As a CPA in a public accounting firm, I spend a great deal of time sifting through Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations. While the majority of my colleagues search for someone else's interpretation of specific legal matters, I desire the ability to understand without such interpretation.
Although it may be overly ambitious, I believe law school will help mold my manner of thinking, in turn, making me a more self-reliant, capable, and competent tax practitioner.

Has anyone's December transcript been processed by LSAC yet (I sent mine out on the 22nd)? I know they are running a little behind, but wasn't sure how much.

I have a 3.6 GPA (4.0 Degree) 162 LSAT. Worked full-time through school, officer of one club, represented my undergraduate school in a couple competitions, served in the Marines, and a few other soft factors. Do I have a shot in the dark at any of the schools listed below. I also have a couple alcohol related misdemeanors (that is why I have applied to a lot of schools).
Georgetown (PT) George Washington (PT) Vanderbilt University of Notre Dame American Georgia Washington and Lee Illinois American University of North Carolina George Mason (FT or PT) Indiana – Bloomington Case Western Wake Forest

Any insight as to my admission chances would be greatly appreciated (most of them are VERY long reaches).
